    how to exhaust the compressed air which is very high pressure and high air flow which is going into the material receiver with material like storage silos, reactors,hoppers and tanks............

    • @exaircorporation
      @exaircorporation 4 роки тому

      @Bharat Kadam - Thank you for the great question. There are several methods to help exhaust the motive air from the product. The two most popular solutions are: 1 - Use a cyclonic separator on the discharge of the Line Vac to help the materials drop out of the high velocity air stream and into the container. 2 - Reduce the operating pressure and try to let gravity help with the conveyance as much as possible. This will reduce the volumetric flow of air within the hose. There are several other options, if you would like to discuss them please reach out to us. how to convert scfm to kg/min of air

    • @exaircorporation
      @exaircorporation 5 років тому

      @Hk technology it in telugu: Thanks for the comment! The question of converting SCFM to kg/min of air is not a common question. There is a conversion factor but some assumptions must be made to reach this conversion factor that is shown below. First though, kg/min would normally be a mass flow rate that is used in a larger duct where the air is under minimal pressure, think an intake on an automobile or a large air intake on a duct of a furnace. SCFM is generally used to give a “standard” list of variables that have been used to relate to a volumetric flow of a compressed gas that is being used within a process. So we normally would not use kg/min in our values for our products. If you still want to convert, 1 SCF x 0.0807 lbm x 0.4536 kg = 0.0366 kg/min min 1 SCF 1 lbm This is assuming 70°F air temperature at 14.7 psia. If you would like to discuss further, please contact an Application Engineer at 1-800-903-9247 or Techelp@EXAIR.com Thanks again!

    • @exaircorporation
      @exaircorporation 5 років тому

      @baspr0mpt - Thank you for the comment. The most accurate pricing for our Cabinet Cooler Systems is easily found directly on our site at www.EXAIR.com. There are several factors that go into our Cabinet Cooler Systems that do not show up in a bench-made vortex tube. While these do operate off the same physics principle as a vortex tube they are engineered and designed to be an efficient use of compressed air, maintain NEMA integrity of the electrical enclosure, and be easy to install. On top of those factors our systems have all been tested to UL and CE standard to ensure these meet their standards for commercial and industrial equipment. As far as the topic of this video is concerned the panel was rated for a NEMA type 4, 4X environment, a standard vortex tube mounted to this panel would not permit the panel to retain the NEMA rating. A simple vortex tube would not distribute the cold air throughout the panel to provide even cooling like a Cabinet Cooler with our cold air distribution kit offers. Additionally, a vent would need to be installed to permit flow out of the panel but not in. This would have to be sized correctly as to not apply any backpressure onto the cold outlet of the vortex tube that goes above 3 psig as that would affect the cooling produced by the tube. All EXAIR Cabinet Cooler Systems are designed to exhaust the same volumetric flow of air they are putting into the cabinet while maintaining optimal performance for the vortex principle. In addition, the thermostat control and cold air distribution kit ensure you are only utilizing compressed air when the panel needs to be cooled and that the interior of the panel is evenly cooled throughout rather than one central point. If you would like to discuss our Cabinet Cooler Systems or vortex tubes further our Application Engineers will gladly walk through your applications. Feel free to give us a call at 1-800-903-9247.

    A compressor with 20 SCFM is enough to use as a vaccum cleaner?

    • @exaircorporation
      @exaircorporation 5 років тому

      The Vac U Gun only requires 13 SCFM at 80 psig inlet pressure to achieve optimal performance. A 20 SCFM compressor would be plenty as long as it is outputting 20 SCFM at 80 psig. You aren't directly using the compressed as a vacuum cleaner. Depending on the application one of our other Industrial Housekeeping Products may fit better than the Vac U Gun. If you would like to discuss your application please feel free to reach out to our Application Engineers directly at Techelp@EXAIR.com or 1-800-903-9247. Thanks for the comment!

    Holes are far too big, most air would leave the first slit...

    • @exaircorporation
      @exaircorporation 7 років тому

      Paul, thanks for the comment. That is a good eye and observation. Per our installation and Maintenance Guide we recommend to drill a minimum of six separate 1/8" diameter holes in the tubing in order to eliminate excessive back pressure. If you do not have a drill handy you can use cutters in order to notch the tubing. One benefit to the holes not being installed by us here at the factory is you can choose how the cold air is distributed within your cabinet. If there is a larger heat generating device then you may want to put a larger hole, like the video shows, near that item. I can assure you that we do still get air flow out of the last hole but it is not evenly distributed within our cabinet in order to simulate the uneven heat load throughout the panel. If you would like to discuss the Cold Air Distribution Kits further, please feel free to contact an Application Engineer at 1-800-903-9247.

      @Brian Sullivan, the Air Amplifiers are still going to have sound even on the suction side. You will just be further away from the discharge air which is where the majority of the sound generation comes from. If you would like to discuss this further, please contact an Application Engineer at 1-800-903-9247. Have a great day!

      @exaircorporation 7 років тому

      @Samuelmdouglas, Sorry for the delay in our response. The compressor system on your 4WD is probably going to be a little undersized to operate a Reversible Drum Vac. The RDV consumes 19 SCFM @ 80 psig of inlet pressure. Also, it would need to be used on a steel drum or tank. If you would like to discuss further, please call or e mail. 1-800-903-9247 or Techelp@EXAIR.com Thanks for the question and try to stay shiny side up in the 4WD.

    I'm about to do an air audit at a job site, so what is the advantages of this over a bunch of Dawn dish soap and water? I see this as pointless and a complete waste of the customers money and time, so please sell me. Thank You!

    • @exaircorporation
      @exaircorporation 7 років тому

      Jason, Thanks for the comment. The main benefit of utilizing an Ultrasonic Leak Detector over a soap and water mixture is the ability to conduct the leak assessment without contacting the pipes. This means you are not introducing any moisture or chemicals to the piping system which can cause corrosion on piping. There is also the scenario where you may not be able to see all the way around the pipe in order to check for bubbles from a leak. This is where the tube attachment will be able to bend and reach into those places where you can't see to help find hard to reach leaks. The Ultrasonic Leak Detectors can also be used at a distance. Not every fitting or joint has to be checked 360° with a tube attachment. The parabolic dish will permit you to quickly scan the piping and areas of joints or fittings to find the leaks. This will save time when conducting a complete system inspection where you would have to spray down each joint, fitting, and even pipe for that matter. If you would like to discuss the ULD further, or would like to get one into your own hands and give it a test, please contact an Application Engineer at 1-800-903-9247 or Techelp@EXAIR.com . We do honor a 30 day guarantee on stock products that ship within the US. (See our site for more details. www.EXAIR.com)

    Does it work for detection of hydraulic leakage? Secondly suppose if there is flow through nozzle and in the same vicinity there is a leakage as well, will it detect the leakage in that area?

    • @exaircorporation
      @exaircorporation 7 років тому

      Thank you for the excellent question. It has been used by rebuilders of hydraulic cylinders when they are testing the freshly rebuilt cylinder with compressed air before filling it with hydraulic oil. On a hydraulic system you would generally see the fluid at the point of the leak. It may help to find the leak in a dirty system as long as you can get close to the hose and fittings. If there was a pneumatic nozzle that had a lead on the air inlet, you could use the isolating tube attachment to separate the two sounds and determine if the leak is on the air inlet or if the noise is from the nozzle discharge.

    • @exaircorporation
      @exaircorporation 7 років тому

      As long as there is pressure on the valve from the compressed air then the Ultrasonic Leak Detector should help find if there is a leak or not. When going around valves and fittings it is best to use the tube adaptor in order to isolate the noise to a smaller area.

    good thing compressed air is cheap. lol

    • @exaircorporation
      @exaircorporation 7 років тому

      Sadly enough there are employees in the workforce that believe compressed air actually is cheap. Here at EXAIR, we know that is not the case. The current average in the MidWest for compressed air is $0.25 / 1,000 Standard Cubic Feet of compressed air. This ranks compressed air as one of the more costly utilities companies utilize and that is why EXAIR is dedicated to developing and offering Intelligent Compressed Air Products® that help optimize your compressed air usage. The Vac-U-Gun product does utilize compressed air which enables us to have no internal moving parts, no motors, bearing, or impellers to wear out, as well as simplistic installation and use. There are certain areas / environments where compressed air may be the only utility available for use and that is where the Vac-U-Gun can help decrease cleaning times as well as be an efficient option for compressed air utilization. If you would like to see how we suggest optimizing compressed air use within your facility, please follow the link to our 6 Steps to Compressed Air Optimization, ow.ly/n8sj305RgIl. Thanks for the comment and please feel free to reach out if you have any other questions!

    Is it necessary to give inlet of air to the air receiver tank from the bottom of the tank and let the outlet from top in a vertical tank???

    • @exaircorporation
      @exaircorporation 7 років тому

      You do not need to plumb the inlet into the bottom of the tank in this scenario. We would generally recommend to bring the compressed air into the lower ports on the side and not he actual bottom of the tank. The bottom port should always have a condensate drain located on the port. If your application requires the compressed air inlet to come in on a higher side port you could use one of the other side ports for the exhaust air, it is simply better practice to use a higher port for the outbound air. can you make it filter the waste cement paste water when we wash off by water jet after installation of fresh concrete on the sub concrete and laste spray surface retarder. We need vacuuming machine and filter paste water simaltaneously. CEMENT PASTE WITH RUNNING WATER BY WATER JET WASHING OUT AFTER THE EXPOSED AGGREGATE CONCRETE FINISH. Please, advised with me and inform your professional idea bout my situation. Awaiting reply.

      This has not been tested on the Chip Trapper systems. As long as the system is flushed and cleaned quickly and the residual concrete is not allowed to set up inside of the valve or filter bag it should filter the solids just fine. The vacuum will not suck up only dust. The solids would need to be suspended in the water and vacuumed up from there. If you would like to discuss further, please feel free to contact us at 1-800-903-9247. Thank you for the question!

    hey just want to find out if this device can detect a vacuum leak and if it can how to do so thanks

    • @exaircorporation
      @exaircorporation 8 років тому

      Steven,The Ultrasonic Leak Detector can be used to detect vacuum leaks. The process is the same as when testing for a pressure leak. If there is a leak then it is going to still give an ultrasonic sound due to the air passing through an orifice. If you would like to discuss this further, please contact an Application Engineer at 1-800-903-9247.

    will this pump transfer used motor oil from one drum to another , I tried and it only moved about 1/3 of barrel then stopped ..

    • @exaircorporation
      @exaircorporation 8 років тому

      +Ron Nichols, The Reversible Drum Vac should handle most motor oils just fine. For thicker heavier weights we do offer a High Lift Reversible Drum Vac. There are several other variables that go into whether the Reversible Drum Vac will operate properly. Please contact us at 1-800-903-9247 and ask for an Application Engineer, we would greatly appreciate the opportunity to trouble shoot this application with you. We look forward to your call!

    is it possible to detect a bearing failure?

    • @exaircorporation
      @exaircorporation 8 років тому

      Victor, Sorry for the delay in our response. The Ultrasonic Lead Detector can actually be used to listen for mechanical vibrations that lead to bearing failures. For this application we would generally use the tube attachment and pinpoint the bearings in question. If you would like to discuss this further, please contact an Application Engineer at 1-800-903-9247.

      You need an SPM meter or a vibration meter with historic analysis, meaning in order to detect a failure you need a graph over the life of the bearing.

    • @exaircorporation
      @exaircorporation 7 років тому

      This could also be achieved with the ULD if you were to take baseline measurements when the product was new. While the ULD is not built specifically for bearing maintenance, it is similar to a mechanical stethoscope where you will be able to hear chattering and the vibrations that can generally be isolated to the bearing housings on the part.

    • @exaircorporation
      @exaircorporation 9 років тому

      @JoyFilters, The Reversible Drum Vac family all operate off a 1 1/2" I.D. vacuum / discharge hose. This pushes on to a barbed fitting which is part of the quick disconnect. If you would like more information, feel free to contact us at 1-800-903-9247.

    What size compressed air line are you using? How much air pressure and or CFM does this unit require?

    • @exaircorporation
      @exaircorporation 9 років тому

      @JoyFilters, For this video we were utilizing a 3/8" I.D. compressed air hose. The operating pressure for the Reversible Drum Vac is 80 psig inlet pressure. When operating at 80 psig the unit will utilize 19 SCFM to fill and or empty the drum. If you would like to know more, feel free to call an Application Engineer at 1-800-903-9247. Thanks for the questions!

    2 questions: 1.-What is level noise produced by cooler system in db? 2.-What happen if humidity separator fails, there will be a water iside cabinet that can be damage the electronics parts?

    • @exaircorporation
      @exaircorporation 9 років тому

      Leandro, Thank you for the inquiry on our Cabinet Cooler Systems. To answer your questions: 1. The noise level produced by our Cabinet Cooler Systems will vary depending on the NEMA type and cooling capacity of the system. The range of noise levels is from 59 to 85 dBA form 3 feet away. These all fall within the allowable noise level exposure guidelines from OSHA. 2. If you have a dryer on the entire compressed air system and it fails, each EXAIR Cabinet Cooler System includes an auto drain filter separator for dirt and water particulate down to 5 micron. We also offer an optional oil removal filter that will then filter the compressed air supply down to 0.03 micron particulate size. If these filters begin to “fail” the general symptom is the filter becomes clogged causing a pressure drop across the filter. Once the pressure drop reaches more than 5 psig we would recommend to replace the filter element. The filter elements are readily available for all of our filter units. If the filter fails catastrophically and no longer removes moisture from the compressed air, then moisture could potentially pass into the Cabinet Cooler System. Fortunately the Cabinet Cooler System outlet has a cold air distribution hose inside of the enclosure which will act as a condensate trap, if you will, to help collect the atomized moisture. If the unit is installed properly then the moisture will have a low possibility of exiting into the enclosures air space. Please let me know if you would like to discuss this further. 1-800-903-9247

    Gary, A high volume low pressure pump is not going to be able to properly supply our Vac U Gun with the pressure that it requires for optimal performance. The EXAIR Vac U Gun is designed to be operated at 80 psig inlet pressure and utilize 13 SCFM of compressed air. The turbine pump you are looking at using is something that I would generally associate with a paint sprayer. Our products are all designed to be used with industrial air compressors, at a minimum of 20 psig inlet pressure. If you would like to discuss further, please do not hesitate to contact us at 1-800-903-9247.

    is it possible to detect a leak behind a wall or in airways inside of a block (of plastic for example)

    • @exaircorporation
      @exaircorporation 9 років тому

      Pete, It is possible to use the Ultrasonic Leak Detector to find large leaks that are close to a barrier such as, drywall or plywood. This means you will not be able to determine if there are extremely low flowing leaks, they will need to be more substantial. The best operation for the Ultrasonic Leak Detector will be on exposed pipes. If you would like to discuss this further, please feel free to contact us. 1-800-903-9247
